Ellen Viergever is Senior Programme Manager with the Directorate-General of the ‘Organisatie Bedrijfsvoering Rijk’ (DG OBR). It professionalises state operational management, develops integral policy to this end, sets frameworks and exercises direction over fields including purchasing, accommodation, general and technical services, staff, organisation, computerisation and ICT. The objective is optimum, flexible support of the primary processes within the departments, with more standardisation. The DG OBR is part of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations in The Hague, www.minbzk.nl.

Ellen Viergever is responsible for the Information Management programme for the areas of purchasing, accommodation and general and technical services. A team of employees within this programme works on state-wide benchmarks involving costs, quality and customer satisfaction, while work is also being done on the state-wide introduction of electronic ordering and invoicing. As regards accommodation, she is also responsible for developing suitability reporting and evaluation of the state’s accommodation system.

Since 2008 Ellen Viergever has been a member of the board of the Netherlands Facility Cost Index Coöperatie u.a., www.nfcindex.nl, a leading reference for the facility management sector.
