Wim Munter (born in 1956) is Director of FacilityFORCE BV. This is the facilitative company that acts as a directorial organisation delivering facilitative services to its tenants in the Willemswerf (37,000 m²) office premises and other locations in the Rotterdam area, www.facilityforce.nl. FacilityFORCE is a subsidiary of the Danish shipping company A.P. Møller - Mærsk Group, www.maersk.com.
Since 1985 Wim Munter has worked as facility manager with the facilitative organisation of A.P. Møller - Mærsk and its predecessors. After preparing and carrying out Koninklijke Nedlloyd’s headquarters relocation to Willemswerf, he was responsible for transforming the internal staff service to a facilitative operation in a private limited company.
In 2001 Wim Munter was chosen as ‘Facility Manager of the Year’ for transforming his organisation into a directorial organisation for a wide range of workplace-related services, including object-related ICT services.
Together with the Centre for Facility Management, Wim Munter conducted research into collaboration between property and facility management. In 2007 this yielded publication of the Facility Estate Concept. In this vision facility management and property are directed as one service from one provider.
Since 2007 Munter has been a member of the board of the Netherlands Facility Cost Index Coöperatie u.a., www.nfcindex.nl, a leading reference for the facility management sector.
Wim Munter is a member of the Management and Organisation circle of Facility Management Netherlands. He is also on the supervisory board of Allevo, a care organisation based in Goes with nursing and care homes and a homecare organisation in the province of Zeeland. As supervisor his portfolio includes the facilitative company Allite, a joint venture between Allevo and Vebego.
