Certification
NFC Certified member
A certified NFC member is an NFC member that an NFC Audit Team appointed for this purpose by the NFC Board has certified (recognised) as first gatekeeper to offer data from NFC members to the NFC Database. A certified NFC member has followed a mandatory introduction on benchmarking in compliance with NEN 2748 and NFC’s interpretation. NFC members must have demonstrated experience in at least five benchmark projects over the past two years before they can be certified. Eligible benchmark projects must be clearly based on NEN 2748 and NEN 2580 or NEN 2745. If an NFC member does not yet meet these criteria, an NFC member can ask to be supervised by a certified NFC member while carrying out a commissioned NFC Benchmark study for an NFC Circle.
Certified adviser members are:
NFC Benchmark study
An NFC Benchmark study is a comparison of similar NFC members with respect to, among other things, costs, achievements, lead times and ratios, in order to assess the price-quality relationship of facilities processes, services and organisations. Using digital questionnaires provided by NFC for each NFC Benchmark study, certified NFC members collect information from NFC Circle members, validate this information and deliver it to the NFC Database. Before these data are entered into the NFC Database, a ‘second gatekeeper check’ is carried out. To assist the evaluation, a graphical output is prepared and made available to the relevant NFC Circle.
NFC Audit team
An NFC Audit team is a team installed by the NFC Board and consisting of two auditors from two different certified NFC members and an NFC Board member, whose purpose is to certify (recognise) NFC members on NFC’s behalf as independent facilitators of NFC Circles in gathering benchmark data and information, introducing such data and information into the NFC Database and evaluating it.
